Do I need a certain amount of money to use a financial planner?

At Edge Financial Planning, we believe that everyone has the right to sound financial advice and the earlier a plan is in place, the better the results.

Where is EDGE Peninsula located?

Our Peninsula Office is located at 7/7 Milgate Drive, Mornington VIC 3931.

Our official launch was April 2016. EDGE Peninsula will continue to provide the same high quality service as our office in South Melbourne. What can I expect when I come to see you?

At Edge Financial Planning we will sit down with you and discuss your major financial goals and objectives, both short and long term. We then put in place steps to achieve them and will give you a Statement of Advice with our recommendations in it. If you decide to go ahead with our advice we will then guide you on anything you need to do in order to execute the plan.

How much do you charge?

Our initial meeting and Statement of Advice is completed obligation free. We want to be able to work with you and ensure that we put in place plans to help you and your lifestyle. We then charge an ongoing adviser service fee based on the assets in your investments/Super and we receive commission from some insurance companies. We set out our fees and anything you are required to pay very clearly in the Statement of Advice that is provided to you.

What happens if I go ahead with the advice?

We will organise a client pack which will require you to complete some forms to enable us to put in place the advice you have agreed to action. This can be anything from rolling your Super, putting in place some insurance, setting up an investment account etc. Once everything is finalised, we will send you a confirmation letter outlining what has been done.

How long have you been in financial planning?

Leigh Stafford has been in financial planning for approximately 15 years. He has worked in both private practice and large corporations allowing him exposure to all types of clients, scenarios and products. Leigh is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
